rect3055-12Going further in her quest of providing alternative power supply and meeting her clients needs to have uninterrupted power supply in their homes and business operations, Juststandout & Friends provided an alternative power solution to House of Refuge.

The House of Refuge {an arm of Freedom Foundation} is a 25 bed residential and outpatient drug rehabilitation and resource centre in Lagos set up with the mandate to proffer solutions to the staggering challenges of substance abuse in our society through education, rehabilitation and research. The centre has had its expenditure on power drastically reduced with the intervention of Juststandout, an alternative power solutions and energy consultancy, and friends. The House has been re-fitted with power solutions that will generate the equivalent of 2kw electric power, thereby providing uninterrupted and adequate energy to power the home.

The solutions consist of a 2kw inverter with eight 200amps Juststandout brand batteries. This solution will provide lighting for the home. Importantly, this solutions will save the house considerable capital outlay in meeting its energy needs, says Mr. Joseph Inyang, Technical Director, Juststandout. The donations were made possible through the collaborative effort of Juststandout and other House of Refuge individual donors.

“The donation of this solutions to House of Refuge is in line with our vision of helping organisations meet their need for regular power supply at a cost that is affordable and the solutions environmentally friendly. We see the great work House of Refuge is doing in our society, and we believe that by helping them reduce their overheads, especially their power outlay, it will be better placed to serve the patients it is currently catering for, and perhaps even more patients,” he added.

Homes, businesses and other organisations typically expend huge resources in providing power to meet their needs. With the escalating cost of procuring power generating systems, cost of fuel as well maintaining generators, overheads of many organisations have become unbearable. With Juststandout solutions, the power outlay could be significantly reduced to manageable levels.

Dr. Dirisu Osasuyi, Program Director, House of Refuge, said the donation will impact on the philanthropic service the centre is providing to the society. “Juststandout’s contribution is timely because of the increasing cost of diesel to run the generators and increased grid power blackouts. I’m delighted that the donation also provides our clients a home in which they can be comfortable, happy and relaxed, to recover,” she enthused.

Continuing: “Your donation signifies your care and love for the underprivileged and your dedication towards ensuring a promising future for them. We appreciate the seed of hope which you have sown into the lives of our clients. Your acts of kindness and generosity will help us to continue to provide a high level of care for these wonderful patients.”

The solution is fitted with battery rack, accessories, complete electrical installations and a warranty to ensure that the equipment functions optimally for the benefit of the house.

Mr. Inyang said the energy challenge of emerging markets, particularly Nigeria’s, requires solutions that are both innovative and cost effective. “The Juststandout Living Solutions call for designing or renovating energy systems within a structure to minimize energy consumption, so we are better able to meet the people’s energy goals. Juststandout works directly with the individual or architect to provide full mechanical and electrical services. We are pleased to see that in homes, businesses and on roads (streetlights) across Nigeria, this concept is helping to deliver uninterrupted energy supply. Some of the ideas within this concept can be implemented with little or no investment,” he said.
