Water systems can be divided into two classes for drinking and non-drinking. Non-drinking water can be used for toilets, car washes and gardens. This water can be provided by either recycling water or capturing rain water with or without green roofs. Even though this design calls for two water circuits, the investments do pay off.
Hot water heaters are the second users of power. This demand can be met by installing a solar water heater with electric backup for residential and home use. The savings is enormous.
In some cases, hydraulic ram pumps can be used to further reduce power requirements for the structure. There are also high energy pumps that reduce power.
